Have you heard of Rakuten? It’s a refund service on things you are buying anyway.
Rakuten collects fees from sellers and passes savings on to you. I get a check quarterly. Sometimes only a few dollars, sometimes $50-60 if I have larger items to buy.
Use Rakuten in either of 2 ways. Go directly to their website or app and search the store or item you are looking for. Rakuten will tell you what the percentage of savings you’ll receive will be. Or, like I do, add it to your browser and let it automatically tell you when an item is eligible.
As an added bonus right now, use this link for $50 back….. spend $50 and get a refund of $50. How great is that?
Also, the refund percentage may go on special and increase. For instance, the regular refund may be 2%, but for a few days it might be 9%. I try to use those increases to save even more. A small order might only generate a dollar, but larger items, think an LG refrigerator, can be a chunk of change. I also link my credit card, so I get the same refund amount when I shop in store.
After all, every purchase through Rakuten adds up!

There are plenty of stores to choose from, over 3500 in fact. Here are a few:
- Staples
- EBay
- Vionic
- Walgreens
- Tractor Supply
- Temu
- Ulta Beauty
- StubHub
- LG
- Vistaprint
- Petco
- Sketchers
- Belk
- Omaha Steaks
- Macy’s
- Groupon
Those are just a few! Quarterly, you get money, either in a check, like me or you can choose to have PayPal credited. It really is that simple.
